Uganda is on course to achieve the national strategic plans like Vision 2040 and the ambitious Vision 2020 that envisions transforming the country to a middle level status. These call for a concerted effort for everyone to participate in the national development agenda.
The country is still faced with critical challenges in different sectors including among others; health with inadequacies in health systems and delivery; economy with low productivity in the formal and informal sectors; education that has spurred unemployment of the youth especially the graduates who leave school without labour market relevant skills. This is not only an indicator of inadequacies in the current delivery systems but also a justification for new terms of references (ToRs/Paradigm shift) for the country’s Education and training systems.
I appreciate all the various stakeholders who have taken a lead in advancing youth and women issues and generally community concerns. It is my hope that with this new intervention, we shall see a reversal the appalling trends in critical sectors.
I would like to acknowledge all those who have provided support to the organization directly and or its initiatives and to the general population of Bunyala Kingdom. We thank USAID and Feed the Future India for Capacity Building of staff in the Entrepreneurship for Rural Women, central and district authorities for continuous provision of technical guidance to the management, Development Partners for financing and technical support and our highly valued Implementing Partners (IPs) and other CSOs for always providing support and synergies.
I strongly cherish the spirit of togetherness and unity in provision of solutions to the common challenges affecting our communities. I therefore invite everyone to participate and support this initiative in every way possible as we help each other to improve the health and livelihood of our people especially children, youth and women.
